Miss LuLu - SOLD

This little angel is painted with Oil paint on a 9 x 12 x 1/2" Canvas. Her mommy loved it and so do I. I am pleased with how it turned out. I see a couple things I will go in and tweek before I ship to the client tho. Will I ever be satisfied? ha ha

Another cutie, Debra. I was wondering what you do about shipping them since oils dry so slowly. Also, do you varnish them?

I used to work in oil but gave it up because of the smell. You do good work with them.

Thanks Jan! I couldn't deal with regular oil paint. I paint with Holbein Duo Water Mixable Oils. I also use Walnut oil and Liquin. My oil paintings usually dry with a couple of days. Titanium white takes longer than the other colors. Water Mixable Oils do not have that smell and cleans up with water. I LOVE it. After is is thoroughly dry. I will lightly spray with a varnish that is specific for oil paintings.

Thanks for the information! I may have to go back and try oils again. Maybe my dear husband won't run me off if I use the water based oils!
