"Pooke" Your mommy misses you everday. Rest in peace little girl.
"Pooke"
This kitty died a few years ago. The only picture available to paint from was distant, dull and hard to distinquish certain areas.
I could have worked on this one for an indefinite period of time and I'm not sure it would have ever fully met my expectations of it...
The client loves it and that's really what matters to me.

Ahhh Boo, You're so booo-tiful!

This painting was done for a lady that intended to give it to her husband for Christmas this year. He passed away before she got the chance to give him this sweet gift. He always said that Boo was his shadow. Now Boo is his Moma's shadow. Rest in peace Larry Kyle. I know you see it and I know you well enough to know that you love it.
Boo was painted with love and oil over acrylics on a 9 x 12 canvas board.

Meet "Gingy" The apple of her daddy's eye. SOLD

My FIRST oil Painting! Yeahhh. Tho I still have a lot to learn I enjoyed "figuring" out some of the primary dos and don'ts of using a different type of paint.
As I do here and as do many other painters, I rarely have had the feeling of accomplishment on my paintings. It just seems as tho a finished piece is never really finished. Later I see things that I could have done differently and/or better. The real talent lies in the art of perfecting your art. which takes time, patience, edurance, persistance and the consciouness of learning. Once we lose sight of education and think we are finished and that we know it all...We're done. One way or another..

"Rosco" Rest in Peace little buddy SOLD

Rosco was kicked by a mule colt a couple weeks ago and has passed away due to his injuries. I'm gonna miss him barking when anyone came up the drive way to the neighbors barn. I'm sure my neighbor is gonna miss him too. Rosco was a good dog and probably chasing rabbits across rainbow bridge right now...
"Barney in a Blanket" SOLD

This is one of my favorites. I think I like painting the blanket as much as I like painting the dog..Barney is a rescue dog and the apple of his daddy's eye.

9 x 12 Acrylic on 1/2" Stretched Canvas. December 2010
This Florida Gal was fun to paint. It was a little challenging with all the browns but I think I made it interesting. I am pleased with it's outcome.
*Note: The picture is much brighter than the actual painting. In person it is much softer.
